The new "Creative Cloud Desktop 5.x" does not load any updates. The old App loaded everything without problems.
The new "Creative Cloud Desktop 5.x" does not load any updates. respectively. The updates are very slow and badly installed. After a restart, I get it out that the app can install an update. Otherwise, the updates start to download and stay exactly at 37%.
The old App loaded everything without problems. Only after the update of the desktop app there are problems
In the Support/Error - Description is that I should look for the error with me. But if before everything worked without problems and mistakes, but with the new version the updates stop at exactly 37%. Why is the mistake then on me?
Please fix the bug so that Creative Cloud Desktop will work again.
The error is not due to the user. The error must be due to the software.

Fixing the problem is one essential move but being able to directly update through the programme as a fail safe is equally necessary.
Presento el mismo problemas desde hace mas de un mes. Alguien a podido solucionar y actualizar las aplicaciones?? Saludos
This is a disaster for me as well. At one stage I lost Photoshop and had to reinstall an old version I had.
Please, Adobe, before you spend any more effort on features, fix the error 183 issue with upgrades.
I do not understand why making updates work is not a priority for Adobe. I hate paying every month for something I can't update without access to extensive expertise or going through an endless series of steps which leave me in the same position.
The same problems for me. For more than a month I am strugling with Adobe Creative Cloud App update problem. Every update stucks around 20-30% and update does not complete. Upon that, yesterday I was starting to get problem with Adobe Fonts - suddanly all my fonts were deactivated. Now opening document where previously were used Adobe Fonts, shows they are missing, and Activate fonts button does not work. It tries to activate and nothing happens. It is impossible to work like this!!!! I have singed in in Creative Cloud Desktop app. I have tried to sing out and sing in again, nothing changes. Adobe, you are taking too much time from me repairing all the software problemms and not be able to produce design work. After new app releases there has been only bugs and problems! Fix this fast!!
After clicking the Update button, a dialog appears with two checkboxes.
One about saving existing preferences which I had checked. The other about removing older installations of the app which I hadn't checked. I didn't have a reason to have old copies removed because none have ever been installed beyond the current version that is being updated. So I checked remove older versions and the updates succeeded.

I've been having the same problem. I found direct links to load my software, but they are the 2019 versions. I try to run the updater for Photoshop 2020 and the latest lightroom and the installation stalls, Sometimes 24%, sometimes 37%. Sometimes further, but I have had no success with a complete install. Something is clearly broken!!
This is happening with all the app updates, regardless of app. The progress percentage varies depending on the app. For example, Camera Raw gets to 37% and then stalls/hangs, where as another app might get to 56% and then stall/hang.
My IT team ruled out all infrastructure-related causes (network, firewall, and antivirus software). Then they ran through the "Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool" process -- a poorly documented process full of erroneous instructions. They went through that process more than once without success. -_-
User Dj is exactly correct. There is no reason that literally the most core user-facing feature of CC Desktop (installing and updating apps) has broken with the release of version 5. Calling it a regression bug would be a wild understatement. Installing and updating is not only core to the CC Desktop app, it is literally the core of the Creative Cloud subscription (Saas).
